Diversity Factor = It is the ratio of the sum of individual maximum demand to the coincident maximum demand of the whole system.

For example,

A power Transformer is connected to the following loads.The industrial load is 1500KW, the domestic load is 100KW and the municipal load is 50KW.The maximum demand of the Power Transformer is 1000KW.The diversity factor of the transformer would be:-

1500+100+50÷1000 = 1.65
