dew drops are seen on grasses in winter because air contains moisture, especially on mornings as the temperature is less i.e the air is cool.at this temperature air cannot hold moisture in it. the excess moisture condenses on cool surfaces like grass, leaves etc in the form of dew drops.therefore dew drops are formed in winter.

hope this is helpful :)

Answer:

  • Dewdrops can be seen on grasses in winter because the air contains moisture, especially in the mornings when the temperature is lower, meaning the air is chilly.
  • At this temperature, the air cannot store moisture. Excess moisture condenses on cold surfaces such as grass, leaves, etc. in the form of dewdrops.
  • Dew forms when temperatures drop and objects cool. If the object gets cold enough, the air around the object will also get cold. Cooler air can hold less water vapor than warm air.
  • This forces the water  vapor in the air to condense around the objects to be cooled. When hot air meets the cold surface at night, the water vapor it contains condenses in the form of droplets on the cold surface. These tiny drops of water are called dewdrops.
