Answer:

Side of the square ABCD= 30cm

                     In triangle ABC

                         AC²=AB²+BC²

                               = 30²+30²

                              = 900+900

                         AC² = 1800

                         AC=√1800

                         AC=30√2

So the radius of sector= 15√2

As it is square so the central angle of the sector is 90°

Area of the sector= πr²(C/360)

                             = 22/7×15√2×15√2 (90/360)

                             = 22/7×225/2×1/4

So the area of sector = 618.75 cm²

Answer:

The area of sector is 707.14 cm².

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided information.

Dhamu fixes a square tile of 30 cm on the floor. The tile has a sector design on it.

Now consider the figure 1:

In order to find the area of sector use the formula:

Area of Sector = \frac{\theta}{360}\times{\pi r^2}

As we know that the the square is a plane figure having four equal sides and four right angles.

Thus, the angle \theta=90^0 and radius of the circle is the side of the square as shown in figure 1.

Substitute the respective values in the above formula.

Area of Sector = \frac{90}{360}\times{\frac{22}{7} (30)^2}

\frac{1}{4}\times{\frac{22}{7} (900)}

\frac{22}{7}\times225

\frac{4950}{7}

707.14

Hence, the area of sector is 707.14 cm².
