Selling price of banana = Rs. 18

Given:

Dharmendra brought banana at rs. 20 a dozen. He had to sell them at a loss of 10%

To find:

The selling Price of a bananas

Solution:

Give Cost price of of a dozen bananas = Rs. 20

The loss on selling bananas = 10%

As we know Loss % = (loss/ C.P.) × 100

Loss = (loss%/100)×C.P

Loss on cost price Rs. 20 = (loss%/100)×C.P

= (10 /100) × 20 = 2 Rs

Selling price = Cost price - Loss

Selling price = Rs.20 - Rs.2 = Rs.18

Selling price of banana = Rs. 18
