so x = 2y/5;
and
x+2 = (y+2)/2 => 2x +4 = 2+y => 2x – 5x/2 = -2 => x/2 = 2 => x = 4
and
x-2 = (y-2)/4 => 4x – 8 = y-2 => 4x – 5x/2 = 6 => 3x/2 = 6 => x = 4
and y = 10
so dhoni is 4years old now

then according to question,
x=2/5y
and, age of the brothers two years from now, (x+2)=1/2(y+2)
=> x+2=1/2y+1
= x+2-1/2y-1
= x-1/2y+1
= 2x+y/2+1
= 2x+y+2/2
=> 2x+y+2 = 0 ------------------1
now, two years ago,
(x-2)=1/4(y-2)
=> x-2= 1/4y -1/2
x-2= y/4-1/2
x-2= y-2/4
4(x-2)=y-2
4x-8=y-2
=> 4x-8-y+2=0

now, by elimination method, from eq. 1 and 2, we get,
4x-y-6=0
2x+y+2=0
