write the tens digit downside and 8 upside.

than take the 5 or the 57 as you do normally.

write the quotient below the line and remainder left between the number you using and the next one.

make a new ship as the remainder with a digit of dividend.

Than subtract the multiplication of current digit of quotient and the downside written digit of the divisor from the new ship.

you will get your answer by this way.

solution :

57 / 7 -- q = 7 ; r = 9 ; 88 - ( 7*8 ) = 32

32 / 7 -- q = 4 ; r = 4 ; 46 - ( 4*8 ) = 14 ( remainder )
