Is it a ribosome?

A ribosome has two sub-units- one small unit and one large unit.

The main function of ribosome is the synthesis of proteins.

A eukaryotic ribosome has a sedimentation coefficient of 80S with two units , the smaller unit has 40S and larger unit has 60S.

A prokaryotic ribosome has sedimentation coefficient of 70S , smaller sub unit of 30S and larger unit of 50S.

The small ribosomal subunits read the RNA and the large subunits join amino acids to form a polypeptide chain.
