Correction in question :-

It should be "Characteristic" instead of "Diagnostic".

Answer :-

First of all, what is Monera ?

Ans - Monera is the kingdom in the biological classification of organisms which includes all "Prokaryotic" organisms.

The characteristic features of Monera are as follows :-

  • The cell wall of the organisms in Monera, are made up of "Peptidoglycan".

  • The organisms in Monera do not contain membrane bound cell organelles.

  • The organisms in Monera contain "Incipient" (Primitive) Nuclei.

  • The organisms in Monera contain "Circular Double-Stranded D.N.A." as genetic material.

  • The organisms in Monera do not contain "Histone Protien".

  • The organisms in Monera contain "Plasmids".

  • The organisms in Monera contain 70s type Ribosomes.

  • The organisms in Monera do not contain "Tubulin Protien".

  • The organisms in Monera promote "Amytotic cell division" without "Spindle formation".

Exception :-

"Archaebacteria" and " Mycoplasma" are the organisms which come under the kingdom Monera but their cell wall is made up of "Glycoprotien" instead of Peptidoglycan.
