diagonal of square=10√2

let side of square =x

we know that all sides are equal in a square

applying Pythagoras theorem

side^2+side^2=hypotenuse square

here hypotenuse=diagonal

therefore x^2+x^2=(10√2)^2

2x^2=200

x^2=100

x=√100=10

perimeter of square = 4× side of square (x)

perimeter of square=4×10=40 units

area of square=x^2=(10)^2=100 square units
