Answer:

Let ABCD is a rectangle in which AC =BD = 13cm.

AB = CD = l cm. and BC = DA = b cm. Its Area =l×b cm^2.

perimeter = 2(l+b) cm.

2(l+b) = 34 cm.

l + b = 17…………….(1)

In right angled triangle ABC

AB^2+BC^2 = AC^2

l^2+b^2=13^2

l^2+b^2 = 169………………(2)

Area of rectangle =l.b = ?

Formula:-

l^2+b^2+2.l.b= (l+b)^2.

169 +2.l.b = (17)^2.

2.l.b = 289 -169
