the \: diagnols \: of \: a \: rhombus \: bisect \\ each \: other \: at \:  {90}^{0} . \\ so \: let \: whole \: diagonal = a \\ therefore \\   {a}^{2}  + {a}^{2} =  {side}^{2}  \\ so \:  {9}^{2}  +  {12}^{2}  =  {x }^{2}  \\ 81 + 144 =  {x}^{2}  \\ 225 =  {x}^{2}  \\ so \: x = 12
