Since diagonals of quadrilateral bisect each other,

the quadrilateral is a parallelogram.


We know that adjacent angles of a parallelogram are supplementary.


Then

P + Q = 180 derees

40 + Q = 180

Q = 180-40

Q = 140 degrees
