Let side of a rhombus be a.

=) a² = (d1/2)² + (d2/2)²

(by Pythagoras theorem)

=) a² = (16/2)² + (12/2)²

= 8² + 6²

= 64 +36 = 100

=) a = 10cm

Since Perimeter of a rhombus = 4*a

= 4*10

= 40cm.
