HYALINE CARTILAGE :
- The matrix of hyaline cartilage is glass like semi-transparent.
- It has fine collagen fibres with give it a fibre appearance.
- It is slightly elastic.
- It is compressible.
- It is found at the ends of the bones.
- It is also found at larynx and trachea.
- It forms this collection of cartilage fish also.

The types of cartilages include elastic cartilage and white fibrous cartilage.
The elastic cartilage have semi opaque matrix and has a network of yellow elastic fibres. They are are highly elastic and flexible and are found in external ear, eustachian, etc.
The white fibrous cartilage have matrix of densely packed white collagen fibres. They provide great strength and very little degree of flexibility. They are present between the adjacent vertebrae and at symphysis pubis.
