Surface tension is measured as forces per unit length on the surface of a liquid.

SI unit is Newton per meter.

Cgs unit is dyne per cm.

Explain:It acts at free surface of liquid, due to molecular attraction forces (chosive forces). It is measured as force per unit length T=F/C.
