Nucleus have four parts :-

1. Nuclear membrane

The double membrane which covers the nucleus and cytoplasm is called nuclear membrane. This membrane has two sub membrane - inner membrane and outer membrane.

2. Nucleoplasm

Nucleoplasm act as cytoplasm. It gives supports to chromosomes and nucleolus to perform their specific functions.

3. Chromosomes

Chromosomes are the Deoxyribonucleic acid molecules. They are the thread like structure in which DNA is tightly packed. They are responsible for gene transmission from one generation to another generation.

4. Nucleolus

It is a dense spherical structure in the nucleus of a cell shown during interphase. It is also known as ribosomes biogenesis. They helps in ribosomes formation indirectly it is also a site of protein synthesis.

Apart from these four there is nuclear pores between two nuclear membrane which helps in incoming and outgoing of particles inside a nucleus.
