Body spicules: The body surface has elevations popup as spicules exhibits the bristle appearance that provides structural support and act as a defense mechanism against predators.

Dermal ostia: These are one of the minute openings on the surface of a sponge that give access to the incurrent canals.

Incurrent canals: Incurrent water through canal system facilitates respiration, nutrition and excretion

Bud:  In the favorable condition small projections arise from the basal region of the adult sponge that grows and develops into a small bud.  When it comes in contact with a substratum it attaches to a substratum and develops into an independent creature and get separated from the parent body.
