Me: May I come in sir?

Principal: Yes. come in.

Me: Good morning Sir.

Principal: Good morning. Please have a seat. Is there any problem?

Me:( with hesitation) yes sir…sir, I lost my identity card.

Principal: how did it happen? Now a days you all youngsters are becoming careless.

Me: Sir, I am really sorry. But while playing on the playground someone snatched my ID card and threw it away somewhere. I tried to search, but could not find it.

Principal: How can you all behave so irresponsibly?

Me: Sorry sir, I again apologize for it. But I request you to issue me a new ID card. I assure you I will not lose it again.

Dialogue between principal and myself for issuing a duplicate identity card:

Me :- Good morning, Sir.

Principal : - Good morning, Rajat. What brings you to my office?

Me :- Sir, I have this application on which I want your signature.

Principal :- What is in the applicant?

Me :- Sir, last Monday I lost my identity card in the school canteen. I have also put out a notice on the student's notice board for my missing identity card, but it is nowhere to be found. The head boy of the school has asked me to write an application to you about issuing a duplicate identity card.

Principal :- Okay Rajat. I will sign your application and a duplicate identity card will be issued to you next Monday. But be careful with this one. If you loose this one also we cannot give you any other identity card.

Me :- It was by mistake Sir, and I promise you that it will never be repeated again.

Principal :- Good, I hope that too. Here is your signed application.

Me :- Thank you so much, Sir.

Principal :- You're welcome, Rajat.
