Dialogue writing between mother and daughter on early
marriage
Answers
Mother: I had been wishing for many days to talk to you about your marriage plans; kindly just share with me your views. Are you mentally prepared if we plan your marriage in the near future?
Daughter: No mother! Marriage is nowhere in mind. All I think of is my career. I want to complete my graduation with flying colours; then I wish to do my post graduation. Besides I am too young to get married!
Mother: Actually, there is very good proposal from one of your father’s known family; he just asked me to discuss it with you.
Daughter: Dear mother, kindly let me settle in my life first. You know how my first priority is to be financially independent. I wish to be a working woman. First I want to secure a very good post in teaching; then I will start thinking about my marriage. At present I am just 23; I will start thinking about marriage after I am 26.
Mother: Ok daughter. I just wanted to know your mind. We are never going to impose our decision on you.
Daughter: Thanks mother.
