You can either use the following discussion or formulate your own taking ideas from it:

Student A: Well, do you know if all the schools start using the old books in optimal manner, there could be so much saving of our natural and national resources?

Student B: I do not understand your point! How? Could you explain a bit?

Student A: Sure! Look every year, after the results are out, students are promoted to higher class. Their previous class books are just discarded, either to be sold to junk shop, or thrown here and there, or burnt! If the all the books of all the students are collected systematically and distributed to the students of the same school, how much of wastage of money, and other natural resources can be saved, can’t it?

Student B: You are right. You mean to say the school should collect the books of all the promoted students, and give to the new students?

Student A: Yes, exactly. There should be two books counters--one selling the new books, for those who are willing to buy only new books; the other selling old books taken from the old students. The school can buy the old books from students at nominal cost and can charge nominal cost while selling them to those students who cannot afford buying new books!

Student B: That’s a really very bright idea! It can really benefit so many students, especially the poor students. Besides, what a blessing it will be for our environment!

Student A: Thousands of trees will be spared from cutting. All the other resources used in the making and manufacturing of the books can be saved, which will again be good for our environment.

Student B: Just imagine if all the schools in India start practicing this distribution system of old books of their own students in their own schools, how much of national saving can be done?

Student A: Should we start this system in our school?

Student B: I am all in for it. I think we should share our ideas with our class teacher, who can further discuss it with the Principal for approval.

Student A: Let’s go then to our class teacher, and set the ball rolling!

HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO IMPLEMENT YOUR IDEA?

Answer: I would implement my idea by talking to my class-teacher, principal, and the chairman. I will make a group of students that will coordinate the entire blue print and write an application to the principal to allow us to implement our plan.
WHAT CHALLENGES YOU ARE LIKELY TO FACE?

It is a very challenging task this collecting old books and giving them to poor, needy students. First of all the school management show some reluctance to granting me the permission to implement my idea because of monetary implications. Secondly, I might have to work very hard as every beginning is quite tough. However, I will give my best.
