Given :   A  statement that Diameter of a circle is 20 cm. Then the length of each tangent to that circle is less than 20 cm

To find : Whether Statement is True or False

Solution:

Diameter of circle = 20 cm

=> Radius of Circle = 10 cm

Tangent drawn  from any point less than at distance of √500 cm from center will have length < 20 cm

Tangent drawn  from any point more  than at distance of √500 cm from center will have length > 20 cm

Let say We draw a tangent from the point 50 cm away from the center of circle

then

Length of Tangent = √50² - 10²

= √2500 - 100

= √2400

= 48.99 m

Length of Tangent > 20

Hence there can be Tangent to the circle whose length > 20

hence given statement is False
