Radius=42÷2=21m
let the circular garden be known as circle1
let the new radius be known as circle2
new radius=21+3.5=24.5m
area of circle1=πrsquare
22/7×21×21=1386msq.
area of circle2=πrsq.
22/7×24.5×24.5=1886.5msq.
area of road=1886.5-1386
=502.5msq.
