Formula for the CSA of cylinder is 2πrh

therefore CSA of the cylindrical Piller = 2πrh

= 2 × 22/7 × 42 × 120

= 44 × 6 × 120

= 31680cm²

formula for the TSA of cylinder is 2πr(h + r)

therefore it's TSA = 2πr(h + r)

= 2 × 22/7 × 42(120 + 42)

= 44 × 6 × 162
