Solution : -

Diameter of the wheel = 49 meter

Then, radius = 49/2 meter

Circumference of the wheel = 2πr

⇒ 2*22/7*49/2

⇒ 2156/14

Circumference = 154 meter

As, the circumference of the wheel equals to exactly 1 revolution.

So, to cover a distance of 3200 meter, number of revolutions the wheel will make = 3200/154

= 20.779 revolutions or 21 revolutions (Approximately)

Given:

Diameter of the wheel (d)= 49 m

Distance to cover= 3200 m

radius (r)= diameter/2= 49/2 m

Circumference of the wheel = 2πr

Circumference of the wheel = 2× 22/7×(49/2)

= 22×7= 154 m

Circumference of the wheel = 154 m

circumference of the wheel= distance covered in 1 revolution

Number of revolutions the wheel make= distance to cover / circumference of the wheel

= 3200/154= 20.779 = 21 (approx)

Hence, the number of revolutions the wheel will make to cover the distance of 3200 m = 21 (approx)
