Answer: Right circular cone:

If a right angled triangle is revolved about one of the two sides forming a right angle keeping the other side fixed in position then the solid so obtained by segments is called right circular cone.

Slant height:

The length of the line segment joining the vertex to any point on a circular edge of the base is called the slant height of the cone.

========================================================

Given: Diameter= 10.5 cm

Radius (r) = 10.5/2 cm = 5.25 cm

Slant height (l) = 10 cm

Curved surface area of the cone = (πrl)

=(22/7 × 5.25 × 10)

=165 cm²

Hence, the curved surface area of a cone =165cm²

Given :

  • Diameter of Cone = 10.5cm
  • Slant Height (l) = 10cm

To Find :

  • Curved Surface Area of Cone

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Diameter=10.5cm}

\longmapsto\tt{Radius=\cancel\dfrac{10.5}{2}=5.25cm}

\longmapsto\tt{Slant\:Height(l)=10cm}

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{C.S.A\:of\:Cone=\pi{rl}}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{22}{\cancel{7}}\times\dfrac{\cancel{525}}{100}\times{10}}

\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{16500}{100}}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{165.00{cm}^{2}}

So , C.S.A of Cone is 165 cm²..

  • C.S.A of Cone = πrl
  • T.S.A of Cone = πr(l+r)
  • Volume of Cone = 1/3πr²h
