road's inner radius = 21 M

road's outer radius = 24.5 M

inner area = 3.14·21·21

= 1384.74 M^2

outer area = 3.14·24.5·24.5

= 1884.785 M^2

road's area = 1884.785 - 1384.74

= 500.045 M^2

Diameter of circular garden = d = 42m

r1 = 21m

Width of road around garden = 3.5m

Thus,

Raduus of inner circle = r1 - 3.5m = 42-3.5 = 38.5=r2

Area of road = Area of circular garden - Area of inner circle

area = \pi {r1}^{2}  - \pi {r2}^{2}

Area =

 \frac{22}{7}  \times  {42}^{2}  -  \frac{22}{7}  \times  {38.5}^{2}

Area = 5544 - 4658.5

Area = 885.5sq.cm

Thus

Area of road = 885.5 sq.cm

parthdedaniya: here, you have take diameter as a radius
arshita10: I have taken radius as 21cm
arshita10: And width is given of road not diameter
parthdedaniya: in area you have taken radius as 41
arshita10: I'm sry
parthdedaniya: ok
parthdedaniya: I have answered this question
arshita10: I'll try to be conscious while answering
arshita10: thanks for making me it realise
parthdedaniya: it's alright
