Diameter of the earth is four times (approximately) the diameter of the moon. Find the ratio of their surface area.

arjun009: suppose the earth's radius is R so according to the question the moons radius will be 4R. so surface area of a sphere is 4piR^square.so 4piR^square /4pi16R^square and when cancel out you get 1:16
