Solution :-

Let

→ Small circle radius = S = 6/2 = 3

→ Medium circle radius = M = 12/2 = 6

→ Large circle radius = L = 18/2 = 9

then,

→ Shaded area = Large circle area - (Medium circle area + Small circle area)

→ Shaded area = πL² - (πM² + πS²)

→ Shaded area = π[L² - M² - S²]

→ Shaded area = π[9² - 6² - 3²]

→ Shaded area = π[81 - 36 - 9]

→ Shaded area = π(81 - 45)

→ Shaded area = 36π = 36 × 3.14 = 113.04 unit² (Ans.)

Hence, shaded area of the region is equal to 36π or 113.04 unit² .
