Diamond and graphite show different physical properties although they are made up of carbon and shows same chemical properties. What is the property called?

Because in diamond,each carbon atom is sp3 hybridised..That is,it is hard.On the other hand,in graphite,each carbon is sp2 hybridised,which makes it in layered form and hence used as a lubricant.
