We shall be leaving at 7:30 A.M. tomorrow by car, and our expected arrival is around noon. We will stay there for 3 whole days and leave on the 4th day. This family gathering is going to be a blast for sure!

DIARY ENTRY 2—

Sunday, 14 November 2021

21:34

Dear diary,

Yesterday was the Family Gathering Party, which was ultimately ruined for me after an hour or so. Everything was going good until my Brother pushed me as a joke and I stumbled into a chair. I got scratched in the face. I felt extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed because of him. Mom scolded him but it still didn't feel enough to me. I went to the rooftop for some time, came back for dinner then went to bed. I've been not talking to my brother since then. He kept telling me that he meant it as a joke and nothing more, but it was very humiliating to me and I'm not planning on forgiving him

DIARY ENTRY 1:

November 24, 2021

Thursday

8:00 PM

Dear Diary,

After four years, my family and I will reunite with our family at our house tomorrow.  I'm really excited and looking forward to seeing all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins in one spot. They will be coming for a dinner party at 7 PM. After dinner, they'll stay with us for a night and will leave the day after tomorrow after breakfast. This family get-together will undoubtedly be a joy.

Good Night

DIARY ENTRY 2:

November 25, 2021

Thursday

8:00 PM

Dear Diary,

Yesterday was the Family Gathering Party, which I ended up destroying after dinner. Everything was going well until my little cousin intentionally caused me to fall off a chair. I was about to sit on a chair and she intendedly pulled the chair off and fell. Because of her, I felt very embarrassed. Her mom who is my aunt scolded her, but that wasn't enough for me. I spent some time alone in my room and went to bed too early. Since then, I haven't spoken to her. I really wish this incident would not affect the bond of my mom and aunt.

Good Night

Meera

Explanation:

Format to write Diary Entry:

  1. Date, Day, and Time (It's written from the first line on the top left-hand side, and it's basically the date, day, and time conference of any event/incident so that if you remember the journal in the future, you'll know when it was written)
  2. Greetings (Write salutation after leaving a blank line, Example: Dear Diary)
  3. The Diary's Body (It is the main part of a diary written for the first person in simple past, present perfect, and future tense is generally informal language)
  4. A name (After writing the body of the diary, you need to write a name)
  5. Signature (It will be optional if you writing a diary for personal or exam purposes so, follow the questions guidelines)

Important points to remember:

  1. Use easy-to-understand language so that everyone can grasp what you've written.
  2. Try to write in a more imaginative, insightful, and creative manner.
  3. Make sure your sentences are grammatically correct and that you don't make any spelling mistakes.
  4. Use pronouns like I, we, us, we're, and I'm when writing in the first person.
  5. A diary entry should be between 100 and 130 words long.
  6. There is no need for a formal heading in a diary. This is optional, however, if you mention it in the questions, make sure to provide a heading for it.
  7. Please express your viewpoint/movement in a concise manner in order to compose the journal.
  8. Because the journal is not a documentary, just the most important events of the day should be included.
  9. These five points must be mentioned in the diary writing method. Date, Day, and Time, Salutation, Diary Body, Name, and Signature
  10. Do not fill the diary with needless words that will dull the audience.
