1. Yesterday, you (Anubhav / Aarti ) had gone out with your dad to buy books from the

book shop. You happened to see on the road the below given scene, poor people standing

on the road in queues to get one meal from a voluntary organization that was distributing

food. Write a diary entry of your thoughts in 120 words –

• India largest democracy in the world

• Emerging as a major economy in the world

• But largest number of poor people, paupers, beggars live here.

• Pandemic - Corona-lockdown started on 25 March first for 21 days – extended to 19

more days – then to 15 more days

• Devastating for India’s economy and for poor

• Daily wage labourers thousands - suddenly lost jobs

• Many poor people stranded in cities in unsanitary conditions

• Hundreds walked back to their homes-some died on the way

• Uncertainty remains in minds, let’s hope and pray for bright days.​

Dear diary ,

when I was going to the book shop , I saw many poor people on the road .This makes sense that government are not helping them .Many people are dying due to lockdown which is getting extended again and again . Many business people had lost their job .
