Dear Diary,

I have witnessed so many fairs in my life, but none to beat the Surajkund fair. It was a unique experience.

The crowd present was proof of the Mela’s popularity. The ‘Theme State’ chosen was Maharashtra. The fair was of international repute. Close to 20 countries and all the states of India participated in the fair.

The cultural evening programmes enthralled us. It showcased some exquisite handloom and handicrafts. The multi-cuisine food court also provided ethnic cuisines from all over the world. The adventure sports and joy rides added sparkle to it.

We bought a few clothes and souvenirs for our friends. The physical exertion was catching up, but it was a reward in itself. I actually witnessed the various facets of our vibrant India.
