The past week was magical. I visited my friend in his village Kovalam. This pristine beach city is attraction for all tourists. We often went on the beach sometime for evening stroll and sometimes to swim and enjoy. The home made fresh coastal foods were lip smacking delights. The natural beauty is so soothing that it the memories tend to call me again to God’s own country.

DEAR DIARY
They say that Kerala is god's own country.And rightly so.If any place can match Kashmir beauty, and greenery, it's only Kerala. I didn't want to miss any opportunity to visit Kerala.So I accepted the invitation given by my friend Suresh to send one week at his village Kovalam. the place is about 20 Miles away from Thiruvananthapuram.
Kovalam is known for its world famous beach. It is basically a fisherman's village.The whole place is wrapped in greenery. Coconuts and palm trees stands over the the sprawling green paddy fields. We used to spend a lot of time fishing in a nearby pond. We often enjoyed a boat ride in the canal.What is Kerala without surf and the sea? So we would spend hours either strolling or taking sea bath or lying on the golden beech.
Kerala is rich in tea, coffee,rubber plantation and spices. I was lucky to enjoy the fascinating dance. it it was really a fantastic and fabulous stay.
