DIARY ENTRY

Dear Diary,

With a heavy heart I am writing to you. I had gone to the grocery shop today with Sahra’s ill-fated shoes. The shoes’ soles were so worn out that I promised to get them repaired at the cobbler’s. But at the grocery the grocer started to hurl all kinds of abuses at me. He insulted me for not clearing previous bills. I felt so ashamed that I burst into tears and rushed back home completely forgetting Sahra’s shoes. When Sahra asked for them I realized my mistake. I rushed back to the grocer’s but it was too late. The shoes were gone. Alas I had lost poor Sahra’s only pair of shoes!

I feel terrible.
