Dear Diary,
I am filled with guilt and shame as I write this entry. While the subject may appear to be insignificant at first, I can't stop thinking about it and need to write about it to clear my mind. It was time for me to return to work after spending a few days at home. Unfortunately, there was no porter available to carry my suitcase, so I let my father do it without hesitation. He had to walk for miles with the suitcase on his back because I, his son, who should be caring for him in his old age, thought that my education and white-collar job made me superior to having to carry my own suitcase. I'm so embarrassed by myself that I let my pride get in the way. I didn't even bother to express gratitude for the fact that it was my father who supported my education and shaped who I am today. I'm not sure when I'll stop feeling guilty; if there was a way to make amends for my actions, I would.
