Diary entry on any five days in summer vacation

Today was the first day of my summer holidays. I spent the day playing in the garden and flopped down with a book in hand to read. I made a plan of finishing thirty books in thirty days. My friend who lives next door came over and we decided to help out my father in the garden when he came home from work. We played scrabble and chess until evening. Mum made us muffins and we happily wolfed them down.

19th May to 24th May

My whole family wanted to go to the hill station to spend the holidays. But I wanted to visit my grandmother's place. I like her very much. I always wanted to live with her. I spent my holidays with her in my village this year. Early morning she used to wake me up and give me breakfast. She told me many stories about her childhood days and my father's childhood days. These were very interesting to listen. She also sang many songs for me. She told that when I was born I looked at a little monkey. We both laughed at this. She cooked different types of food for me. We both talked every time and enjoyed a lot. I met with her friends who also loved me very much. Now it was the time to return. We both cried a lot and promised to talk over the phone. I love my grandmother very much and I miss her too.
