Dear Diary,
I am sorry that I haven't written in you for quite a while now, but what can I do, my assignments had been piling up and I had to submit them all before their due date.
Also, I have been busy for we had to celebrate Buddha Poornima. Its like a holiday for us considering we're from East Asia originally. Just like Christians celebrate Christmas for Lord Jesus, we Buddhists tend to celebrate the birthday of Prince Siddhartha Gautama.
Some people of the South also celebrate Buddha Poornima but they call it Vesak and they consider Lord Buddha's enlightenment and death as well.
I learned all about it when the speaker was talking about our origin and historical significance of this day during the gathering earlier yesterday.
I am glad to have learned new things about our culture and origin.
Anyways I must go now. Will write again.
