Dear Diary, there's no point in tiptoeing around today's topic. Will be talking about corrupted politicians. Or in other words, people who'd grease someone else's palm. I find that morally wrong in my opinion. I know politicians around the world would do that, bribing others in order to get themselves advantages. Or would ask someone else to work behind the scenes or would give someone cash under the table to get themselves a promotion, or something else that would benefit either themselves or their family members.

I also don't advocate this sort of things, I don't like people who do that. Why? Because I think it's wrong, and just totally not right, not legit. There are people who starve (African children), and these people are doing this bribing. And that's why the resources are wrongfully allocated. Thus causing poor people to stay poor and people who live off welfare to keep being in the same position.

To get my meaning across, I'll take the example of: the construction scandal (taken place in the city where I live). Some people were blackmailing higher ups in order to get themselves extra cash, extra stuff for themselves or their family, friends while others starved and lived on the threshold of poverty. It's as though they didn't care about others' well-being and health. They only want to get gold for themselves and that's it. Such vile people aren't worthy of their authority.

I don't get why these people are so selfish, so stingy, and want to keep the wealth to themselves. I mean, if I was a millionaire, I'd donate cash to charity without hesitation and out of the goodness of my heart, out of my own free will, because that's my way of living. I don't like seeing people living on the streets, or begging. It'd pull at my heart strings just to see people with ragged clothes and without cash for foods. I'd go all out to help the poorer people. I can't quite put my finger on these rich and selfish people's logic and way of living.

What's your stance on the things I said? On political scandals, on bribing, blackmailing. Are you for or against politicians who'd do that? And are there any of those things taking place in the city/state where you live?
