Dear Diary
My winter vacations are going on and I went on a picnic with my friends. The place where we went has a large open area and on the sides there are a lot of big trees. After eating our food everyone lay down and were chatting. I was inquisitive and wanted to see what was there behind the trees. I was a little scared so I was peeping from a distance. Suddenly an elf came and held my hand. He was very tiny. He took me behind the trees and showed me his dwelling which was as big as a doll house. He introduced me to some other elves who were busy doing some work. They gave me some juice in a tiny glass. Just them my friends called out to me, so reluctantly I left the elves and rushed back to join them.
It was really an adventure.

Dear Diary
Two days back I went trekking on the nearby hills
with my classmates. We carried some food and drink in our backpacks. It was a
pleasant day. The sun was mild and a pleasant breeze was blowing.
All of us were very excited as it was our first
trekking trip. Our seniors had told us that it was very enjoyable. We divided
ourselves into small groups and started climbing from different points. We
decided to meet at one point on top. Some boys suggested that we could compete
and see which group reaches the destination first.
We started climbing. Some boys were telling jokes,
some were enjoying the weather and some were picking up things, like a unique shaped
stone or flower on the way to keep as a remembrance. We were calling out to
other groups and laughing. Each group was in a hurry to reach the destination
first.
It was great fun. At last we all reached almost at
the same time. So we all clapped for each other. We sat down for some time and
ate the snacks. The scenery was beautiful. We clicked photographs.
Coming down was even more fun because there was less
resistance and we could run fast. We enjoyed the trekking expedition and
reached home in the evening.
