Dear diary,

My school has been shut down because of corona pandemic. The government has ordered strict lock down to maintain social distancing. Because of this, our school has started online classes. My class starts by 8 in the morning. We get break at 10 o'clock and again by 10.30 our class starts again. It lasts till 1 pm.

It is a great initiative. This has revealed our stress of exams because we won't end up with burden of subjects. In my biology lecture, I learned about function and working process of heart. In English, I learn about figure of speech and in geography, I learned about rivers of brazil.

This is the diary entry of a 8th std kid on experience of online classes.

15th May, 2020.

Dear Diary,  

Its day 23 since my online classes have started. It feels fun to sit and home and go digital with changing world in the era of technology. I miss my friend though. I miss the activities we used to have during the last class. It is unique experience to sit in front of my mother's mobile and learn all my subjects via video online. Some of my friends sleep during class and so our teacher is trying to tell everyone to keep their video on. One of my friends was eating in between of the class. Ha Ha I guess we all eat in the middle of an ongoing class. Routine has been disrupted. Our teacher suggested we wear school uniform during the class so that it feels much more disciplined. You know we also celebrated one of my classmate's birthday during a class. Overall it is different to be studying like this. Subjects like English, History, Geography are good, but to understand numerical based subjects like maths, physics, chemistry, it is a bit of a challenge for the students as well as the teachers. Safety is utmost, so says my parents and teachers also the news anchors and so we are safer at home rather than going to school.
