Dear Diary,
Festivals are like sprinkles on cupcakes! The very fun-loving change that keeps our mundane routines going. Festivals strengthen our relationships in the society. The feeling of everyone celebrating together like a family is the most attractive part of it. The feeling of friendship and unity is felt among the people of the society. It is unity which is the most powerful weapon to fight against any obstacle in life. That’s why for me festivals are important for our life. I can’t imagine a life without festivals. Without festivals the environment would be the same and boring. During the festive season, I like the entire place being decked up beautifully. Festivals are an opportunity to make the environment we live in better, make the society we live in a better place. My role in festivals and making the environment better lies in making the necessary use of amenities so that the celebration is enjoyed without causing any harm to the environment or society we live in. Last year in Diwali, I made sure to burn less number of crackers to avoid sound and air pollution, and encouraged others to do the same. This time during Holi, I used organic colours to celebrate and convinced my friends and family members to do the same. I think if everyone keeps these small things in mind then the fun of festivals would just double up! With this thought I would like to end here today.
