Dear Diary,
How do people play with our emotions? I am just outraged at their taking us for granted! I was approached as if I was a great star. It was made to appear I would be given an important role. How excited I was to have got an opportunity to act! What a travesty in the name of acting! I felt so embarrassed at the role. Anyone could have played that role, why did they approach only me? I am going to complain to Nishkanto Babu about this insult!
The moment I was told I was just to speak ‘oh’, I felt like fleeing from the place. I was extremely hurt. I did not want to shoot the scene. But then I remembered my Guru, my mentor’s words. He had taught me I must never refuse any role, however small it might be. As an artist my aim should always be to make the most of the opportunity, and squeeze the last drop of meaning out of my lines. Remembering my Guru’s words, I decided to give my best to the small role offered to me. I rehearsed it many times, infusing different shades of emotions into the word ‘oh’. At last the scene was shot, and everyone appreciated my acting. I left the shooting scene without even receiving my payment in protest, just to make them realize their mistake.Dear Diary,
