Diary entry on visit to old age home

Dear Diary
Today was a really wonderful day for me as I paid a visit to an Old Age Home. My dad told me the value of Karma in life and I was enthusiastic to do something good for others. My dad saw my enthusiasm and suggested going to an Old age home. I was ecstatic!
As we entered we were greeted by a lady, Anne, who was the caretaker of the Old Age Home. She took us to the Old pals living there. Their faces lit up seeing me and dad. We gave them a lot of warm clothes and a nice treat of some age appropriate snacks. It was Friday and the Old homies wanted us to join for their weekly movie. It was an Old Bollywood movie. We enjoyed a lot-joking, snacking , talking and laughing.
The Grandpas and Grandmas gave me and dad a lot of good wishes. I felt so good that tears started roling down my cheeks.

I always thought do we need old age homes in the world? Today I visited an Old home with my friends from school where I could all old people sitting and thinking of the good old days and children. I always felt that Old age is time for enjoyment and recreation and these people have to social, But their children are giving them misery by sending them to old age home as they have to lead a better life so they can’t take their parents with them. But after seeing the ambience in the old age and lisstening to their depressive and sorrowful stories , I feel I will never leave my parents in the old age home and l will make them live with me and give all happiness I can to my parents.Today was day of sorrow and depression for me . As everyone say after a sunset there is sunrise i would want myself to do something good for the old aged people.
