Dear Diary,

Today, I enjoyed a trip to the Mysore Zoo with my parents.

As we entered the zoo premises we were greeted by four very tall and very impressive giraffes. The zoo is divided into different sections: birds, apes, carnivorous cats, reptiles, etc. There were many different types of exotic birds: flamingoes, hornbills, seagulls. I saw a rare white peacock too.

The most thrilling part was to see the wild cats being fed by the zoo-keepers. The tigers, lions and leopards roared as they tore into the chunks of meat! I was scared of the creepy, crawly snakes. Watching the chimpanzees jump and hang upside down was a lot of fun. We took many photographs and I will make a collage of those for my room. I enjoyed the trip thoroughly!

I visited the zoo after a very long time.  Maybe the last time I visited the zoo was when I was in grade 5.  I went to the zoo with my parents.  I loved looking at the birds.  There were several of them some in cages while others in small sanctuary type spaces.  They were all colourful.  I loved looking at exotic animals like lemurs and pandas.  Giant cats in an enclosure were fierce.  They were really big than I thought.  Monkeys were swinging around curiously watching at the onlookers.  One monkey kept staring at me which made me really uncomfortable.  The fishes were all swimming around and it was very beautiful in glass cages.  The hippos and snakes were the scariest.   Snakes made me uneasy though.

After watching all the animals, we left the zoo.  It was a nice experience.
