Dear Diary,
My first day in Delhi went really well. I’m grateful to Rahul for bringing me along with him to Delhi to visit his grandparents. The summer holidays are on and I’m enjoying every bit of it here. Today we visited the highest building of India, Qutub Minar. One of the most prestigious monuments that I’ve ever seen.
Just like us there were many teenagers and kids among the visitors who came today. We asked a tour guide to show this place to us and we did get a good one. Abhay stated various facts and gave us a precise history of this colossal monument. The 5 storey minaret caught my attention and Abhay sensed it. He took us to the first floor of the monument. Rahul and I were awestruck. The view of the city was just panoramic, something we had never witnessed before. We then visited the beautiful Mughal architectural buildings. The richness of Mughal art emanated from the structures. We felt like we were back in the Mughal era, walking through the buildings and open spaces in between.
The tour ended very well, leaving us with stories to share with our other friends. We were so excited today that we couldn’t stop talking to Rahul’s grandparents about our visit to this magnificent place of history. We enjoyed to the core and I know it’s just the beginning of a string of beautiful adventures.
Goodnight Diary.
Lovingly,
XXX
