Diary writing on my first day of your school

Dear Diary,
Today was my first day at my new school, "Techno India". As anyone who has changed schools in the eighth grade knows, it is really very hard to forget my old friends and teachers.Not that I am saying that my new classmates are aloof towards me, it's just that I felt a bit left out today as everyone knew everyone and I, being a shy 13 year old, couldn't even bring myself to say "hello" to them.
However the teacher,Miss Roy, who introduced me is verycaring and friendly. She encouraged the other children to talk with me durong the tiffin break.One of the girls,Priya, seemed very likable.She joked around with me and a bit of my loneliness faded. I think I will sit next to her in class tomorrow as it is good to have someone to gossip with.
Surprisingly, I am looking forward to going back to school tomorrow.It is not as bad as i had thought it would be.
