Aeration is one process in which air is introduced to waste material so that microbes which required air to survive can grow on it. This process comes after the process of clarification of waste material.

Aeration has a minor effect on the change in odor of the waste material.

Chlorine is multi-purpose liquid. It is used to remove stain from clothes. It is also used as bleaching agent used to clean water. Since it act as a bleaching agent it can change color.

Aeration changes odour

Explanation:

  • Aeration is the process which brings water and air in a close contact so that dissolved gas and dissolved metals are removed.

This process removes the odour as well as taste due to some volatile             gas and algae, micro organisms.

  • Chlorine acts as a bleaching agent that helps to lighten the color
