Bhagwad Gita is one of the most sacred books till date amongst the followers of Hindu religion. It is a chapter of the holy “Mahabharata” which was written by “Ved Vyas”. It is the conversation between the two characters of Mahabharata, Lord Krishna and his disciple Arjun. Spiritual scholars termed Gita as the awakening lesson given by Krishna to Arjun in between the war at Kurukshetra. When Arjun refused to fight against his own brothers on the opposite side then Krishna told him about the greatness of truth and wisdom over emotions and worldly relations which made him enlightened. Gita is approximately 5000 years old yet in present time it is a source of peace and awakening among those who prefer reading such enlightening text. “Bhagvad Gita” can be summed up as Shri Krishna’s Updesh to Arjun. The country has witnessed numerous great dignitaries and leaders of their time who were moved by the lessons of Gita and always proposed the holy text as a channel of spiritual awakening. Swami Vivekananda and Mahatma Gandhi were two of them who were really touched upon after reading the book. The lessons of Bhagvad Gita are so genuine and authentic that spiritual scholars have always proposed it as a measure for complete growth as a human.
