Bachendri pal is the first India woman who have climbed the highest peak Mt. Everest. She was a athletic child since her childhood, she first got exposed to the mount climbing phase at the age of 12 during a school picnic. She was a woman who refused to give up on stereotypes. When her parents came to know that she was going to climb the highest peak they weren't happy at all they didn't wanted her to do that because they thought she is girl and that isn't a thing that women should be doing. Even before climbing the Mt. Everest she joined the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering and she was really good at it and she was then she was choose in a team of people to climb Mt. Everest.  Bachendri pal climbed Mt. Everest in 1984. 

So, 'Yes' Bachendri pal did go to an training institute before climbing the highest peak.
