did Joseph black discover the percentage of carbon dioxide

The Scottish chemist Joseph black discovered carbon dioxide on this day in 1754. Black noticed that upon heating , calcium carbonate produced a gas that was denser that air and could not sustain fire or animal life . He called this gas" fixed air ''but we now know that it as carbon dioxide (co2)
